Just before 3:00 pm, Sykesville fire and rescue units responded to a vehicle collision on Route 32 at Johnsville Road just South of the firehouse.

Units arrived on scene and found a two vehicle accident involving a pickup truck and a tractor trailer.

Crews found that the driver of the pickup truck was trapped and unable to get out. The crew from Rescue Squad 12 went to work stabilizing the truck and removing the driver’s side door with hydraulic tools to gain access to the patient. The patient was removed from the vehicle and transferred to the Medic Unit.
