At 5:19 this morning Rescue Squad 12 and Duty 12 responded to the 200 Block of Streaker Road to assist Winfield units with a vehicle accident with entrapment.

Units from Winfield arrived on the scene and advised that they had a single vehicle into a telephone pole and the vehicle was upside down with one occupant trapped. Units also stated that a telephone pole and electrical wires were down on the vehicle.

The power company (BGE) was requested to respond to the scene to shut the power down so that the patient could be safely extricated from the vehicle.

Once the power was secured the crew from Rescue Squad 12 assisted crews from Winfield with removing doors from vehicle with hydraulic tools so that the patient could be extricated. The patient was determined to priority 4 (deceased) after being extricated.
