Just after 6:30 pm on 7/14, your Sykesville Freedom District Fire Department and surrounding companies were alerted for a possible house fire in the 5700 block of Bartholow Road. Chief 12-1, Engine 123, Engine 124, Tower 12 and Medic 127 responded. Along with the on duty staff from CCDFEMS, 14 volunteers responded.

Chief 12-1 arrived to find smoke showing from the roof of a house. Crews advanced inside and located fire in the attic. The fire was quickly brought under control. Crews operated for approximately 2 hours before returning to service.
