At approximately 2:35 p.m. on Friday, November 1, Sykesville and mutual aid units from Carroll and Howard counties responded for an injured person on the CSX railroad tracks near Gaither Road.
The subject had suffered a long fall and landed on the top of the entrance to a railroad tunnel. Crews worked to gain access to the patient and lowered them to the ground using a ropes and rigging system. The patient was then hoisted into MSP's Trooper 1 and flown to Shock Trauma for treatment.
We thank our mutual aid partners for their quick and efficient assistance on this challenging call.
