The new Rescue Squad committee has been working very hard to get the new Rescue Squad 12 in service. Part of the process is getting equipment mounted so it can be used safely and efficiently.
On October 21st, a few members of the committee headed down to Hollywood Maryland and met with First Due Apparatus Solutions for the mounting. Our members, along with the the crew from First Due, worked hard to figure out the best most efficient layout and use of space on the squad.
Today, November 30th, members once again traveled to Hollywood to pick up the Rescue Squad. We are extremely pleased with the work and attention to detail. The First Due crew was very receptive to what we wanted, and using their experience, was able to help provide guidance and ideas to best utilize the space on the squad.
Over the next few weeks, before placing the squad in service, we will be completing training on the new equipment as well as drivers training. Very soon you will be seeing our new Rescue Squad on the streets of Sykesville and surrounding areas serving our neighbors and community.
If you would like to ride on the new Rescue Squad and help protect the community, we are always looking for new members to join our team. No experience is necessary, all training is provided free of charge. Click the link below to join our team. |
