On the evening of December 24, Christmas Eve, Station 12 units were dispatched to assist Winfield Community Volunteer Fire Department on the crash with rescue on Liberty Road near the intersection of Klee Mill Road.

Arriving units found a vehicle on its side next to a utility pole. Crews from several departments worked to stabilize the vehicle and then free the occupant, who was placed into the care of EMS.
