Effective at 4:00 p.m. today, and by the orders of Fire Chief Eddie Ruch, the Sykesville-Freedom District Fire Department has placed into service the new Rescue Squad 12.

The New Rescue Squad was built by REV Group, Inc., KME Fire Apparatus, and is completely outfitted with all new modern equipment allowing the members of SFDFD to provide Auto Extraction, Rope Rescue, Water Rescue and any additional type of incident that would involve someone being trapped in, under, or on something. This piece will proudly service the southern portion of Carroll County.
