My name is Wanda McMillen and my father was the driver of the pickup truck on 4/20/2007 on Liberty road. I wish to thank The Fire Department for all they attempted to help my father. And all that you do everyday. My father passed away that day. We all miss him very much.

Thank you so much for your quick response in handling my stove fire in December. More importantly, thank you for teaching my older son what to do if there is a fire in the house. He visited your firehouse when he atteneded Wesley Freedom Daycare at 3 and 4 years old and again in Kindergarten. He is now 8 and thanks to you he knew how to get his little brother and dog, where to meet, what neighor to go to and of course to call 911. I am so glad it wasn't more serious, but really glad my kids got to practice.
Nicely done site...your color choices are excellent for viewing(especially for us oldtimers--Hey!! I'm still young!!)Keep up the good work guys...please drop by if you like and view my art and sign the book regards...Capt. Paul ..Stay low stay safe!!

Great Website. I am interestedin joining Sykesville-Freedom. I would do anything except Fire Fighting. I am 63 years old and just not able to do it anymore. However I could do admin work,Bingo, or any other activity. I'm a pretty good cook and would like to be involved with the community. Well thanks for all the good work you are doing and I hope to talk to you soon.

OK! when is your annual carnival? My husbands grandmother lived in sykesville, as did most of his relatives, you can probably guess just by looking at his name. Anyway, the carnival was such a blast and we havent been to it in ages. Two weeks ago, i went on line to find out when it was and couldnt find any info. Can you give me the dates for next years event?

Guys & Gals,
Website is still looking great. Keep up the good work. My family and I should be coming down during your carnival which I haven't been to for 20yrs. When my grandmother was alive, she lived on Freedom Rd Mrs Rachel Marriner, I used to spend some of my summer there and walk over to the carnival. I was raised in Sykesville/Randallstown area. I guess being around the fire department all my life it was in my blood to continue the family tradition. My girls want to follow in our footsteps too. My oldest is going to college to be a medavac flight nurse/medic in the fall. I do miss the comradere (sp?) & family get togethers the departments have in Maryland, here in Pa not all are like that. My department has a mini tower and I keep telling them to go visit your station and look at a real tower/truck. Anyway, stay safe.

Just curious as to the absence of any information relating to the Annual Carnival that you have had in the past years in June.
it is not mentioned in any of the liturature put out by the County or noted on your web site.
