I was looking at your site for pictures to match our school field trip to the station that we enjoy each year in October. The site is really neat. I had no idea it was even there until I did a search. I was also interested that a Maczis is a firefighter there. That is my maiden name and I was curious if there was family relation. Thanks for sharing a great site!
i want to thank you very much to the fire department in sykesville.
30 years ago you transport in an ambulance to my brother to the baltimore airport

I appreciate everything the guys and girls stand for at the Sykesville Fire Dept. I was brought up with a father and Uncle in the Baltimore Co. fire depart. and prayed every evening for the safety of you brave men and women who dont think twice or blink an eye when it comes to saving a life or running into a burning building to save a stranger or one of your own knowing you yourself that you may not come out. Please be safe.
I also thank you for everything that you tried to do to save my little brother who was in the bad accident in front of the firehouse two years ago and didnt make the flight, Officer Shane Evans.

Great looking sight.
I spent my first dozen years living in Sykesville. I remember hearing the siren running for an inordinate amount if time one day, then running downtown from Maple Ave. to see the Fire Department itself in flames, and watching Firemen pushing the fire trucks out, and across the street.
Two of my uncles were volunteers, many years ago, and one of them was thrown from the tailboard of one of the trucks, I believe after a collision with a car.
I even have my uncles Sykesville Fire Dept. jacket, which has to be at least forty years old. I plan to bring it by to donate to you guys, or maybe trade for some SFD t-shirts, on my next trip up north.
Hello , I am stopping in to say hi and thanks for helping me get all the glass out of my face and off of me last year when a dear jumped in my uncles windsheild on route 32 right below the fire station . I am not sure if any of you would remember this incident but I came up and knocked on the garage doors and you let me in , I had my blue EMS shirt on and stated that I was an emt-b student in bristol . Thanks alot and Im thinking of moving to Sykesville area and would love to be a part of your company as a member or a volunteer . I printed out the application so please be expecting it in the near future . Thanks again my friends and brothers and sisters of life saving ! Richard C Norris .
